Lottery & Gaming Credit Application


To verify if you received the lottery credit, please review your 2018 tax bill or visit the Waushara County website at to access your tax bill and determine whether or not you received the lottery credit. If you did not receive the credit and you qualify to receive it, you may contact the Treasurer’s office at                   920-787-0445.


To qualify for the lottery and gaming credit, an owner must be a Wisconsin resident, the owner of the dwelling and use the drawing as their primary residence on January 1 of the year in which property taxes are levied. Principal dwellings means any dwelling used by the owner of the dwelling as his/her primary residence. A property owner cannot be claimed on business property, rental units, vacant land, garages, or other property that is not the primary residence of the owner.


Last year, the average lottery credit in Waushara County was about $145.00. The exact amount is based upon the school district in which the home is located. 


If you were not a resident of your property on January. 1, 2018, but were as of January 1, 2019, you may qualify for the credit on your 2019 tax bill. You should complete the 2019 application to receive that credit. The application can be obtained at the county’s website by clicking Treasurer’s Lottery & Gaming Credit Application or at the Waushara County Treasurer’s Office in the courthouse located at 209 S. Saint Marie St., Wautoma.
