The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of the county, serving as its legislative branch. It sets policies through the passage of motions, resolutions and ordinances; and through the annual budget, apportions and levies taxes to finance the many services the county provides.
Meetings are held in the County Board Room, second floor of the Courthouse on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. (Exceptions: All November meetings are held the second Tuesday at 7 p.m., and April meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month at 9 a.m. in even-numbered years.)
