Presidential Recount Results
Posted Date:
12/15/2016
Results of Waushara County's recount of the November 8, 2016, Presidential Election were as follows.

Donald Trump lost 2 votes, Hillary Clinton lost 1 vote, and registered write-in Evan McMullin gained 5 votes. Of more than 12,100 ballots cast in Waushara County on Election Day, these were the only changes to the original, canvassed results.

"I couldn't be prouder of the County's 26 municipal clerks and their election inspectors," County Clerk Melanie Rendon Stake said. "They gave us a very clean election to work with. Election administration in Wisconsin may not be perfect, but it's pretty close."

Stake also recognized the more than 75 individuals that helped with the recount over the six days of proceedings; especially Deputy County Clerk Megan Kapp, and Board of Canvassers members Patricia Cayer, Marilynn Chesbrough and Thomas Stepanek.
